Terms & Conditions

All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions outlined below; we advise you review these carefully. By using Global Explorer Pty Ltd (ABN 36147216180) or any of our services, you acknowledge and accept to abide by these terms. References to “us”, “we” and/or “our” in these booking Terms & Conditions shall mean Global Explorer.
 
Fees & Charges: 
A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. All deposits paid are non-refundable or transferable. Your consultant will confirm with you the minimum deposit required. Your final payment is required no later than 6 weeks prior to your departure date. Some airfares and services must be paid in full at the time of booking. You will be advised of any special conditions during your quote or booking process. 
All quotes are valid at the time undertaken based on availability displayed through our systems. Changes based on customers booking of a product and demand. Therefore, we cannot guarantee any rate or space is available until a booking and payment is undertaken.

A booking fee will apply to all bookings. You acknowledge that we may receive a commission from suppliers for bookings made on your behalf. We reserve the right to charge administrative fees for payments made by credit card. The credit card holder gives Global Explorer Travel Group Ltd authorization to automatically process the credit card supplied, please contact Global Explorer Pty Ltd should you wish to choose an alternative payment method.

Prices quoted are in Australian dollars unless otherwise advised. All pricing is inclusive of all fees and taxes unless otherwise advised.  All pricing is subject to change without notice and are only guaranteed when paid in full.

Booking Cancellations or Amendments: 
Cancelled bookings will incur charges. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking regardless of whether travel has commenced.  Fees and extra charges will apply where a booking is changed or when tickets or documents are reissued. Where we incur any liability for a cancellation fee or charge for any booking which you cancel you agree to indemnify us for the amount of that fee or charge.

When a booking is cancelled at your request we will send you a confirmation of cancellation you must inform us if you do not receive this confirmation and any failure to do so may result in us charging for a non-arrival.

If for any reason full payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to deem the booking cancelled and appropriate cancellation fees will apply.

Amendments are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Any approved amendments to a processed booking will incur a minimum, nonnegotiable fee plus any fees imposed by the property. 
Prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you. Please note that prices quoted are subject to change. Price changes may occur by reason of matters. Outside our control which increase the cost of the productor service. Such factors include adverse currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes and airfare increase. Please contact your travel advisors for up to date prices.  
Cancellations of tours or bookings by suppliers is out of the control of Global Explorer Pty Ltd and we will work with you and the supplier to find any alternative and/or obtain a refund.
 
Travel Insurance: 
Global Explorer Pty Ltd acts as an authorised representative of QBE Insurance Group. Travel Insurance is strongly recommended by Global Explorer and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade for all overseas travel. For your protection we automatically include the appropriate policy based on the information you provide at the time of booking. You will receive a Product Disclosure statement relating to the travel insurance product and we recommend that you read through this and complete the application form. It is your responsibility to ensure you return the application form to Global Explorer Pty Ltd no later than 14 days to ensure you travel Insurance policy is valid and to avoid cancelation fees. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking or any deposits are made towards your booking that Travel Insurance is taken out as to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstances. 
We also recommend that you review any independent Product Disclosure Statements for credit card included travel insurance. This is to ensure that you are protected due to terms and conditions and the level of cover offered meets your situation.

Passports, Visas and Health Requirements: 
Visas, including transit visas, are the passenger’s own responsibility. For more information please log on to: www.dfat.gov.au.Please check with the respective Embassy or Consulate of each country that you are travelling to, as many destinations require visas for both Australians and non-Australian passport holders. For more information, log on to www.visalink.com.au. You need to ensure that you have at least 6 months validity on your passport from the date of your departure.
International travellers booked on flights to the United States, including Hawaii and Canada, it is now mandatory, under the Visa Waiver Program to receive an electronic authorization known as ETSA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) no less than 72 hours before travel to the USA. This can be obtained from the following site: www.cbp.gov/etsa.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations. Vaccinations are strongly recommended for certain destinations. You need to contact your local doctor who will advise you of these requirements. Please note that vaccinations may be recommended some period in advance of travelling.
Please advise us if you have any medical condition that may impact on your travel arrangements. This includes information about travelling with mobility devices and/or medical conditions.
Parents travelling with children or infants needs to advise in advance details as each supplier has different rules that we need to advise and act on.
 
Our Services: 
We act as an agent only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport accommodation and other service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators. Our obligation is to make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We have no responsibility for these services nor do we make or give a warranty or representation regarding the standard. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability by these service providers. Your legal recourse is against the specific provider and not us. If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted your remedy lies against the provider and not with us. It is your responsibility to advise the service provider if you have any special meal requests, frequent flyer and /or mobility needs.
Any written quotes provided are valid for 3 days only.

Liability:
We make every effort to ensure all information provided or displayed is as accurate as possible, however, we shall not be liable in any way to you or to any third parties should any information or reports prove to be incorrect or incomplete in anyway. We reserve the right to change information at any time.
 
Global Explorer Pty Ltd act only as an intermediary in making arrangements for hotels, transportation or any other services. As such to the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Explorer Pty Ltd is not liable for personal injury, illness, property damage, errors, representations, breaches or negligence, loss of enjoyment, mental distress, delayed departure or missed connection, substitution of service or accommodations, terminations of service, changes in fares or rates, and/or cancellation or double booking of reservations or other loss of expense of any nature whatsoever irrespective of its cause. Without limitation, we will not be responsible if the product is not available due to inclement weather conditions or other acts of God. Any information provided at time of booking may be used for promotional purposes.

Your Obligations: 
You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking (or 21 years for travel to USA). Children under 18 years old must be accompanied and staying with at least one adult for the duration of the stay. Failure to meet this condition may result in your stay being forfeited. We take no responsibility for incorrect information.

Documents:
Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and or restrictions including being non-refundable, non-date changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. Travel documents cannot be transferred to another person. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport or photo identity holder. An incorrect name on a booking may result in inability to use that booking and the booking being cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility if not advised at the time of booking. 
 
If there is a problem with any of our product or services the hotel should be notified immediately. GEX will not be liable to you for any problem that could have been rectified during a traveller stay had the hotel been made aware of it. In any event GEX must be informed of all complaint within 28 days of the event giving rise to the complaint. All complaints must be submitted to GEX in writing to [email protected]
