Saturday
After checking in the night before to the BreakFree Aanuka Beach, the day starts with sustenance from Old John’s who do some of the region’s best coffee and darn good brekky fare. The all-day menu features delights such as the mushroom roll with roasted mushies, egg, pesto, cheese and greens and the lemon and poppy seed pancakes which are sure to delight the littlies.
After all that chow, you’ll need to stretch your legs so bundle up the family and head to Jetty Beach. Protected from the elements, the water will be calm enough for a quick post-breakfast dip and a stroll along the picturesque jetty.

Now that you’ve got your walking legs warmed up, take a walk to Muttonbird Island. See if you can spot the wedge-tailed shearwater nests and take in the views of the coast and nearby mountains.

By now you’ll no doubt be peckish, so take the 15 minute drive to Sawtell and grab takeaway fish and chips from Sea Salt. Take your treats to the southern end of Sawtell Beach and let the kids explore the tidal rockpools while you enjoy your late lunch.

Sunday
While you’re in town, you have to stop by the Big Banana and take the obligatory selfie pretending to hold it over your head. Make time for a banana sundae then head to the Solitary Islands Aquarium which is open to the public on weekends. It’s packed with local marine species and kids can touch a few of the more spiny and slimy creatures in the touch tank.

With an action packed holiday, it’s time to enjoy the resort facilities and return to the lagoon pool so the kids can wear off any excess energy and you can enjoy some relaxation and maybe even a sneaky drink!
Dinner is next on the agenda and you can’t go past the Cedar Bar and Kitchen. Located in an 110 year old church, it’s one of the most picturesque spots in Bellingen, a short drive from Coffs. The little ones will be catered for with an extensive kids menu and you can enjoy a rose and watch the world go by.
We know you’ll be looking forward to a restful sleep so settle into your spacious Breakfree Annuka Beach apartment for some shut eye.
Monday
After visiting all the sights of Coffs over the weekend, you’ll be forgiven for wanting to spend the morning doing something a little more low-key. Even if you don’t leave the hotel, you’ll still be able to enjoy an outdoor rock pool with slide, children's pool and play area (for when mum and dad need a break), cave spas, tennis courts, mini golf, beach volleyball and more.
