Taveuni is know as the 'Garden Island of Fiji' located 7 kilometres off of Vanua Levu. It is well known for it's flora and fauna and is a popular destination for many travelers and tourists.

Built in 1971, Garden Island Resort is the oldest and largest resort with 30 rooms on the beautiful island of Taveuni. The Morais family has had a close relationship with Fiji and have been regular visitors of the resort over the past 30 years. The resort has since undergone a complete refurbishment with newly renovated ocean view and ocean front suites, bar and dining area fitted with modern amenities and the comforts of home, while maintaining the friendly and high quality service Garden Island Resort is renowned for.

Getting to Tavenui
Nadi International Airport is located on the main island, Viti Levu and has a domestic terminal for ease of transfers to the outlying islands. On the east side of the main island, Nausori International Airport is 30 minutes from Suva, the capital and business hub of Fiji. The national carrier, Air Pacific’s domesic airline Pacific Sun has several daily flights to Taveuni from Nadi and Suva and ferries sail to Taveuni from Suva and Savusavu 6 days a week.

Activities
Dive Centre - the PADI 5 Star Dive Centre is located on the resort property and so you’re only moments away from being in the water. Drop by and the trained and experienced dive staff will help you set everything up so you can explore the beautiful ocean depths. Our Dive Centre is open daily for scuba diving, snorkelling and kayaking.
Entertainment - the Garden Island band “Past Timers” performs nightly from 6.30pm -9 pm, and the Kava bowl is out until late! Join the Past Timers and staff for a taste of Fiji's ceremonial drink from the traditional Tanoa bowl.
Swimming Pool - cool down in the fresh water pool by the dining area, with stunning views of the Somosomo Straits from dawn until dusk.
Spa - indulge in the Nature Spa, an outdoor bure surrounded by lush green plants for ultimate relaxation and privacy. There is an air-conditioned indoor beauty therapy room where you can be pampered with a pedicure, manicure or relaxing facial.

Restaurant & Bar
Drodrolagi Restaurant - features fine local and international cuisine with fresh local seafood, produce, meats and poultry. The daily menu offers at least one vegetarian entrée at each meal. The dining room is located on the ocean front side of the resort where soft breezes, beautiful views, and the sound of ocean waves add to the enjoyment of the gourmet meals prepared by the Garden Island Resort chefs. Traditional Fijian Lovo (feast) is featured regularly.
Tagimoucia Bar - this well stocked bar is open from midday until late, offering a wide range of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and cocktails. If you like your drinks a certain way, just let the bar staff know and they’ll make sure it’s made how you like it.
