Bali’s Best Eats 2019

One of the best things about Bali is the food. The eclectic mix of cuisines is influenced by Chinese, Indian and more local flavours, but you’re bound to find almost every type of food on this little island. Some of the world’s best chefs call Bali home, taking advantage of the fresh produce and international tourists who are always looking for a unique experience.

Your trip to Bali isn’t complete without a visit to one of these amazing restaurants – book a nanny for the night and enjoy!

Ijen, Seminyak
Ijen is Bali’s first restaurant with a zero-waste philosophy. All of the produce is sustainably sourced, whether that’s line caught fish or locally grown vegetables. Even the décor makes use of recycled materials including rubber thongs in the upholstery and broken plates in the concrete! The restaurant is part of Bali’s iconic Potato Head and it’s not to be missed.

Dumbo, Ubud
Vegetarian (and vegan) Italian food? Trust us, it’s a thing and your meat eating family members won’t even miss the protein. The pizza is a must with the dough fermented for 48 hours before it is wood fired. Fun and delicious.

Indigo, Canggu
This Canguu spot is home to some of the best Japanese in Bali. It’s perfect for a special occasion with an extensive wine list and in-built entertainment as the chefs flaunt their skills in the open kitchen.

Mason, Canggu
A little more casual, Mason is owned by an Aussie chef who knows how to do a ham and cheese toastie well. The food is simple, beautiful and filling with most of the menu cooked in the woodfire oven.

You’ll have definitely seen this amazing venue on Instagram. The décor is a colour explosion and the tacos could also be described as a taste explosion! The cocktails are to-die-for and you can’t leave without a selfie or two.
