Fast becoming recognised as one of North Queensland's best kept secrets, Grand Mercure Apartments Magnetic Island is located on Magnetic Island Queensland, and offers a private and exclusive ocean front resort nestled amongst natural island beauty.
The resort offers a selection of deluxe one, two and three bedroom beach-house style apartments designed to take advantage of the uninterrupted views of the Coral Sea.
The resort is a secluded sanctuary in one of the most spectacular locations in the South Pacific. Multiple living zones form flexible spaces for dining, entertaining and relaxing and the traditional beach house style has been given a contemporary twist with sliding door panels, louvered walls and breezeways. Indoor and outdoor living spaces can be left to self ventilate all year round, while still maintaining security; providing a natural feel and saving on energy.
Only a 20 minute fast catamaran ride from Townsville, Magnetic Island is just off the Queensland northern coast. Enjoy the resort's surroundings, located right next to the new harbour and marina precinct and only a short walk to a number of restaurants, cafes, boutique shops and attractions or take a tour of the island and explore.
How to Get Here
Breakwater Ferry Terminal is located at Sir Leslie Thiess Drive, Townsville - open daily from 6am to 6pm (excluding Christmas Day). Ferry tickets to Magnetic Island can be purchased online or at the terminal. Departure times start from 5:30am to 10:30pm. Car parking is available starting from $7.50 per day for a standard vehicle (price subject to change without notice). The car park has adequate lighting but is not fenced.

In particular, it does not offer adequate resources with regards to security personnel to guarantee the safety of this unique group.
